I’ve decided enough is enough and I’m saying NO this Christmas
And I’m inviting you to join me..
With the children and teens finishing school and Uni, this is a perfect time for the whole family to embrace this little challenge.
I love to use this time of year as a perfect time to reset – a few months post the summer holiday, we’re heading into the Christmas holidays and it’s busy, busy, busy! It’s good to check in with the promises you made to yourself earlier in the year..
Do you do that..?
Being away on a break is a great time to reflect and consider whats important. We become more aware of what we love when we have time to enjoy it and wonder how life gets so crazy..
Ever promise yourself whilst you’re away to change things about bit when you get back..?
This Christmas, I’m challenging my clients at Woman on on a Mission to embrace the darker nights and cooler weather by saying NO!
I’m saying NO to being too hard on myself!
Busy mum, business owner and spinning many plates – not alone I’m sure and so it’s easy to be hard on myself when it all gets a bit crazy!
How about you..?
Maybe at the moment you’re got in the habit of saying yes to everything..?
Whether it’s yes to a lie-in when you should be up and training…?
Or maybe yes to that extra latte?
Or yes to taking on extra work when you are already stretched..?
Say no to self hate, no being lazy, no excuses, no regrets…
I’d love to know what you’re saying going to start saying No to…
Are you one to say “yes” to agreeing to help someone before you’ve had chance to really consider what impact it’ll have on you or your plates are already busy spinning.? You’re not alone..
How often do we feel bad for saying no.. not wanting to cause insult or harm to a friendship or colleague.
Trying saying “thank you, I’m grateful you’ve asked me to help. I’m not able to help this time but please ask me again”
A “No, not now” is not a “No – ever”
Putting a little perspective into the emotion around saying no, makes it a little easier to say!
“When you are saying “yes’ to others, makes sure you’re not saying “no” to yourself” Paulo Coehlo
All too often, we place our personal needs on the back burner. This November, my challenge to you is to prioritise your Personal “to do’ list other other obligations..
Consider what you’re saying no to today so you can start as you mean to go on tomorrow.. It takes practice!
Go on, commit to my challenge and let me know by hitting reply.
PS Of course if you need help with any of your “NO’s” – be sure to let me no!! Hehe see what I did there?! 😉
My all new Woman on a Mission programme is going live for 2019.. Take a look and be in the first to know.. Places are limited and some have already gone, so be sure to book now to get your January off to a flying start.
